Gaia Resource was engaged by the Atlas of Living Australia to build the first iteration of the Restricted Access Species Data (RASD) Service, a software platform that was designed to manage requests for, and share of, RASD (i.e. data on threatened species) in accordance with the RASD framework that is published at https://www.rasd.org.au/. Gaia Resources was engaged to build the first iteration as a remote team working within the Atlas of Living Australia technology stack, and with our remote working familiarity we were able to deliver the project on time and budget, to a high standard of quality. The RASDS continues to operate and is in use across the Australian biodiversity information community.
