Gaia Resources were engaged by the Western Australian Marine Science Institution (WAMSI) to support the Westport program in early 2022, providing a wide range of GIS and management support. This has involved administration of the Enterprise GIS platform, data management, documentation and process control, managing a small team of GIS analysts, as well as auditing datasets produced through several marine baseline studies.
The GIS team at Gaia Resources provided ongoing administration, management and visualisation support through ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Online. This included preparing map products for technical reports, developing web maps and StoryMaps to communicate environmental information to internal and external stakeholders, and managing enterprise databases and Portal web data to maintain a reliable single source of truth.
Gaia Resources continue to support the project by ensuring that marine environmental data is consistently managed, easy to access, and able to be incorporated into approval documentation and future planning activities.
